One day the therapist asked me if I'd ever heard of Asperger's Syndrome. I had only just read an article about it and so I said to the therapist, does my son have this? She wouldn't say yes or no and yet, over the years, I've wondered if I shouldn't have pursued it with her. I guess I was afraid of it. My son is 20 now, a brilliant young man who is socially isolated and has a very flat affect. I have no idea how to even broach the subject now ... and would my son be able to find help at this point?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
